The Operations Advisor (CAA) manages the day-to-day operations of the FTAC. The FTAC Team Leader is a position that rotates an NCO from a different team every 6 months to assist with FTAC operations. FTAC works approx. 22 five-day courses each year for approximately 450 Airmen. The last day of the course, the 5th day, is dedicated to Resiliency Training. This training is conducted at the Airmen and Family Readiness Center. The Career Advisor (CAA) manages all Career Opportunities. CAA provides Airmen with the information needed to make operational decisions. CAA provides group re-advice to more than 1,000 members a year. The CAA also conducts other individual employment negotiations such as employment, change, and severance options. CAA conducts 10 Professional Development Courses per year - each course is 4 days with 20 to 30 students or more per class and includes all required courses. CAA also conducts two SNCO Professional Enhancement courses per year - the course is 4 days with approx. 65-85 MSgt selection and covers all requirements. CAA also hosts a Career Fair/AFSC Showcase each year for those considering re-enlisting, special operations, commissioning, ANG, AF Reserves, or Army, Blue-to-Green . Professional support services are available in the 1223 building next door to ALS throughout Bemiss. It is a $650,000, 4,300 square foot facility with 3 classrooms and 84 meeting rooms.

The Jason D. Cunningham Airman Leadership School (ALS) is a 5-week course designed to prepare Airmen for supervisory and leadership roles. ALS is a requirement for promotion to SSgt and you must be an ALS graduate to supervise/inspect.

The course has four courses: Master of Science, Master of Science, Master of Science, Master of Science Associate Professor, Associate Professor, and Communications Manager. Each area provides the tools needed to be effective supervisors and leaders in today's Air Force. This course covers 192 hours of instructional material over 24 business days. The school completes seven courses each year with approximately 350 students each year.

All students must be considered on "TDY" status for the duration of the course. Attendance for ALS students does not include exercise, recovery, and PT testing (which must be completed prior to attendance). Students who wish to take the WAPS test must schedule an appointment for the test before/after attending the ALS course. Good communication between ALS staff and administrators/principal officers/students is necessary to ensure proper notification/planning before the start date.

Tests are an important part of education. Moody Education Center offers a variety of tests to the public. In addition to military exams such as promotion, end of education, and PME exams, we offer college exams such as CLEP and DSST at Wiregrass Georgia Technical College's National Testing Center. Additionally, we are a Pearson Vue testing center which allows us to administer a variety of certification exams.
